Assessing the contribution of urban green spaces in green infrastructure strategy planning for urban ecosystem conditions and services

Maintaining ecosystem services is a key adaption option towards sustainable cities and adaptive societies in securing citizens’ health wellbeing. This research investigates the contribution of using urban green space components as basic units infrastructure strategy planning for conditions services. A total 9 types spaces are selected delineated from high-resolution data. combination quantification method 6 common based on MAES framework reference to literature data used. case study Cheltenham, typical town England, studied present new approach local development respective improving resilience city facing global climate change. Results show that changing composition spatial arrangement components, synergy or trade-off various can be stimulated easily. The small scale allows detail potential integrated among other settlements.
